We loved our trip at Disney World with Jeff's parents and siblings!
Jeff was especially excited to ride on the rides...even the little kid rides!
(actually Rachel is sitting right next to him, you just can't see her)
First we went to the Animal Kingdom. Rachel was really excited when she saw the elephants on the safari ride (or "Dumbo" according to her).
Jeff and Tyler's favorite ride ended up being Expedition Everest. Partway through the roller coaster the track was destroyed by a Yeti, so the cart stopped and we were sent backwards partway down the mountain, and then we switched to go forward when we reached another part of destroyed track. The track switches were pretty cool. I think Tyler ended up riding it 4 or 5 times.
Next we went to Magic Kingdom.
We rode Rachel's favorite ride: Dumbo!!!
Grandma and I took Rachel to see princess Belle, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella!
Meeting the princesses was really neat. Each one greeting Rachel and took a minute to talk to her. In the picture below Belle is trying to twirl Rachel around.
It's hard to hear, but here is a video of Rachel's visit with Cinderella. Rachel was very stoic through the whole ordeal. I think she was in shock and didn't know what to think about the whole thing.
Last of all we went to Hollywood Studios. The Indiana Stunt show is always fun highlight.
The kids loved playing at Honey I Shrunk the kids park. They had a HUGE spiderweb made of ropes that the kids LOVED climbing through.
Overall the lines to the rides were really pretty short and some rides had no line at all. We did decide to wait an hour for our last ride of the trip: Toy Story Mania. It was a fun little ride and worth the wait.
Having lots of fun riding rides:
The kids did great with no major melt downs. Rachel was a little sassy at times and would give us the glare.
But the next minute she would be all smiles.
