Colorado Afternoon Thunderstorms

It has been interesting living in Colorado and learning about the weather here. We have come to realize that scattered afternoon thunderstorms are a common theme to Colorado summer weather. We know if we watch the news and see the "rain/thunderstorm" icon for everyday that week that it doesn't mean it's going to rain everyday, all day. It usaully just means there is a good chance of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoons. It's nice because just as it gets hot, a thunderstorm rolls through and cools things off. Last week we had a pretty strong hail storm. Yes, it's hail, not snow in the picture. Our poor plants and my garden were pretty damaged :(

It has been particularly wet this summer, but that is so nice. My parents' creek filled up with water because of all the rain!

Hi Jamie, found your blog through Angie's. We've met briefly at church, but should be getting to know each other better-we're doing Joy School together! And I really hope your daughter is born on her due date! That would be so cool;)
