Matthew LOVES.....trains, tractors, and airplanes.  He LOVES watching steam trains on youtube. He can scroll through my phone and start it himself.

Matthew LOVES.....being outside.  He loves jumping on the trampoline, petting Sparkles (the neighbor's cat), taking stroller walks, and riding on his toy airplane.

Matthew LOVES....climbing! He turns the toy bins upside down and creates "stairs" to walk on and pedestals to jump off of.

Matthew LOVES....Frozen! He asks to listen to "Frozen" in the car and can occasionally sing a couple words.  He also loves Rachel's Elsa doll that sing frozen.

Matthew loves....kitty songs. I sing him the kitty song from The Big Bang Theory every night before bed.

Matthew loves.....snacks.  He loves fruit snacks and waffles. He loves to open the freezer door and help himself to frozen waffles. He takes a bite or two and then asks me to toast it.

Matthew is a great little talker. Mostly he says two word phrases, but sometimes surprises me with more. Some favorite phrases are "Daddy fly", "Bus coming", "Poop stinks", "Watch trains", and "Don't die" (I think he got that from Frozen when Elsa says "please don't die"?)

Matthew is very mechanical. He loves pushing buttons and fitting things inside each other. He loves tools and fitting screwdrivers in things.

Matthew recognizes the color orange and can count to 5!

Matthew is very shy around strangers and in new situations.  He often buries his face in my leg if someone talks to him.  If a stranger asks him a question, usually he just stares without a response, occasionally he will whisper his answer.

On his birthday when we asked him how old he was, he would reply "six". (Maybe because Rachel turned 6 the day before he turned 2?)

One day Jeff was watching football and Matthew was watching for a couple minutes too.  After one of the plays, Matthew sees player laying on the ground and says, "Run...Fall....Hurt...Dead!" We got a good laugh out of that one.

I love seeing his imagination form. A few months ago he lined up all the kitchen chairs in a row, sat on one, and said "horse". I thought that was very cleaver of him.  He loves horses, just like his sister.

So glad this little tyke is part of our family!
