Disney World

We didn't want to miss any summer fun, so we started the summer with a trip to Disney World.  Grandma and Grandpa Reid drove to our house with Sharon, Craig, Austin, Mikayla, and Brooklyn.  We were able to play with them a day prior to heading to Florida.

Then we all drove to Florida!

On Memorial Day we layed low and played at the Marriott Resort. There was plenty of things to keep us entertained.  We had fun on the tennis courts, shooting hoops, swimming, water slides, and playing cards.

The next day we went with Grandma and Grandpa to Animal Kingdom.  We started with the "Yeti" ride (expedition everest) The kids loved this ride the most last time.  It did not disappoint.  At the end of the trip they still rated it as their favorite ride.

It was a HOT week and Disney, so we enjoyed cooling off on the river rapids.  This was the before picture...but we got soaked!

 Being in Animal Kingdom we made sure to hit the animal safari and see all the animals.

The next day the whole group went to Hollywood Studios (We never got a whole group picture...there is a good portion of us below)

We started with the tower of terror.  We wondered how Rachel and Mikayla would do on the drops, but they seemed to enjoy it! Tyler and Rachel voted it as their second favorite ride at Disney.  Next we went to meet Princess Sofia.  It was so cute to watch Brooklyn meet her....her face lit up and was SO excited to meet her.  We enjoyed Star Wars ride, Honey I Shrunk the kids play place, and all the fun shows.  We even made it to the Frozen sing along for the girls.

We ended the night with the Fantasmic show.  Matthew was tired and a little cranky at that point and I debated about going home early, but we stuck it out.  It was worth it seeing Rachel's face as the fireworks lit the sky during the show.

The next day we went to magic kingdom.

Mikayla and Rachel received a "princess makeover". They were assigned a fairy godmother in training to transform them from head to toe.  

Rachel loved being Queen Elsa and would "freeze" things while we road on rides or walked from ride to ride.

The next day my parents and sister's family went on their way to Oklahoma, but our family went back for a half day of disney fun.

We were tired by the end of the week.  Matthew was so tired he napped the first few hours of the drive home, was awake a couple more, and then fell asleep for the last couple hours.  It was a fun, full week!
