Tyler's Baptism

On January 25 Tyler was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jeff was able to baptize Tyler.  He was working until late the night before, so we considered waiting until next month, but Tyler was excited to get baptized, so we kept the date in January.

This was my first baptism to go to as primary president, and it has been a while since I had been to a baptism, so it was nice to have my son be the guinea pig. Tyler and Dallin, also from our ward, were both baptized that day so I was able to welcome them both to primary.  Our group was supposed to stay in the Relief Society Room after the baptism for the conformation and the rest of the program, but we had too many people to see Tyler and Dallin be baptized, so they sent up back into the chapel for the rest of the program.

Grandma and Grandpa R and Aunt Kristina were able to drive from Oklahoma to be here for the special occasion.  Thankfully the weather was good and allowed them to do that.  After the baptism we invited some of Tyler's friends his age and their families over for lunch and to play for awhile.  Zoe and Jada, Jonathan, Aspen, and Kaitlin were all able to come.  Tyler enjoyed having his friends over to play.

That night we played some fun Wii games Grandma and Grandpa brought with them.  I guess some of the boys got a little tired and Grandma became the pillow.

It was a great weekend.  We are very proud of Tyler and his decision to be baptized!
