California in December

Jeff always raves about how wonderful California weather is and how much weather sticks everywhere else.  It was really nice to be able to go outside and enjoy the outdoors everyday.  Tyler loved playing football on the street with the other kids.

Jeff and Grandpa took Tyler and Rachel to the hills behind their house a few times.  The enjoyed climbing trees, swinging on the rope swing, and hiking.

There is always lots to do in California.  This time we decided to go to the Lafayette Reservoir and rented paddle boats.

I do have to say that us girls were a little faster paddling our paddle boat than the boys. Go girls!

We also went to explore the "Pirate" boats.  They are not really pirate boats, but using the word pirate in front of boat makes it more exciting for the kids.

We also stopped to see the view of the Golden Gate Bridge

We sure enjoyed our trip to California.  The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed being outside.  Unfortunately, the day we flew home it had snowed in Colorado Springs.  We missed warm, sunny California right away.
