Halloween has come and gone. It's fun having a child that is old enough to understand and enjoy each holiday. Half the fun is watching Tyler pick out a pumpkin or dress up in his costume or learn that on Halloween night if you ring a doorbell, people give you candy. The day after Halloween Tyler asked if we could go trick or treating again. Unfortunately I had to tell him that he needs to wait another 364 days until the next Halloween night.

Tyler has been excited all month for Halloween to come. His Lego's have been his "treats" and he has been gathering them in his Halloween bucket and carrying them around all month.
Tyler enjoyed wearing his Buzz lightyear costume. We went to a Halloween primary activity in the afternoon, followed by trunk or treat, and then we took him around or neighborhood trick or treating.
He received LOTS of candy...enough to last him a year. But as parents we will sacrifice and help him eat his loads of candy. On Halloween night I asked him what his favorite candy was. I was excited to hear his reply: "Tootsie Rolls!"
However, actions speak louder than words. When we let him pick out a candy, most often he reaches for our favorite candy: Reese's. Hopefully he doesn't notice them disappearing faster than he's eating them!

I love the pumpkin!!! Are those the pieces that you put in the regular Mr Potatoe head or did you buy them for pumpkins?....Austin's not a big pumpkin carver but he would love doing that.....
You gotta love kids trick or treating. We are culprits of some of Kate's stash as well. Its okay though. Their little teeth shouldn't consume so much, right? It helps me sleep better at night anyways...Very cute kids Jamie!
